National Debt Relief Services doesn’t charge any upfront fees, and there’s no cost to sign up. Our initial consultations are free. During your consultation, one of our certified debt specialists will talk with you and see if the National Debt Relief Services program is right for you. Our clients pay a fee based on how much we are able to save them; however, payments only are only due once a client is in a debt relief program, legally protected from creditors, and their situation is being resolved. In addition, the fee is paid via monthly payments, that are guaranteed not to increase. You’ll will continue to have a structured monthly payment plan for the entire time you’re enrolled in the National Debt Relief Services program.
Yes, there is a temporarily negative impact to one’s credit rating, and it can be improved after you have completed the program and you are debt free. We provide credit rebuilding assistance to all our clients. If you are already behind on your bills, or especially if you are in collections, your credit score will already be lower so the effects of our program may not be as severe.
No, we do not offer debt consolidation loans. We can consolidate your debts into one low monthly payment. If you have bad credit, you will not qualify for a debt consolidation loan in the first place, and solving debt with more debt goes against our approach here at National Debt Relief Services.
Debt settlement rarely provides an opportunity for an affordable payment plan, instead requiring a lump sum payment with strict time limits. In addition to that, majority of Canadian banks do not engage in private debt settlement. There are also types of debts that can’t be settled privately at all – HST, income tax, OSAP, just to name a few. Engaging in any form of debt settlement, be that privately or through a debt settlement, does not provide you with any legal protections against creditor action.
The program length varies between 24-60 months, however an important factor to keep in mind is that the programs we offer are completely open, meaning that it can be paid off at any time, without any penalties. Most of our clients are able to complete their debt relief program considerably ahead of schedule, as there is no interest, and all payments go towards the principal balance, which has already been reduced to a manageable amount.
All of our programs come with full legal protection from creditors, meaning that not only will you not get sued, but that you will also be protected from all other forms of creditor action – collection calls and letters will stop, garnishments will be cancelled, and even if a creditor has put a lien on your property (with exception of CRA liens) it will be lifted upon completion of the program.
No, our goal is to have our clients debts resolved while allowing them to avoid filing for bankruptcy. That being said, we do provide bankruptcy consulting where a situation may warrant such a drastic solution, however that approach is generally reserved for most severe of cases where settling for a percentage of debt just isn’t realistic.
No, after entering into one of our program your payment towards it will be distributed amongst your creditors based on the reduction achieved. You will only have to make one single monthly payment towards all of your debts.
